IT’S NOW OFFICIAL!!! New owner/director of tidal wrestling

Z Mathews (no relation to Ace) is the new Owner/Director of Tidal Wrestling.

Statement from Z:

“It’s not just cards that are “Subject to Change”… Life finds a way of altering plans despite having them perfectly laid out.

The initial plan was to slowly take over throughout the year, card by card as Taj took the reins off bit by bit, however… Taj asked if I’d be willing to accelerate the timeline by approximately 8 months. With encouragement from Taj, other Tidal internal staff and my mentors Mike Bird and Paige Wish (from Catch 22 Pro Wrestling), I’ve decided to stand at the helm and captain this ship known as Tidal Wrestling moving forward.

I want to take the time to thank Previous ownership/management (Ian and Taj) for building Tidal into what it is today. I know I’ve got some big boots to fill, and I’m probably gonna make a few mistakes along the way and maybe, unintentionally blow a few holes in my ship.

All I ask is that you’re patient with me, and give me a chance to find my footing. In turn, I’ll do what I can in bringing you some amazing wrestling to your eyeballs.

I want to thank all of those who’ve made this possible. Too many to name but names include Johnny Winter, Greg Burridge, Mike Bird, Paige Wish, Spike Trivet and of Course, Taj. In one way or another you guys made it possible for me to even get into this business. I’m super grateful to you all. Again, there’s too many names to name, but these are the ones off the top of my head… And yes they’re all connected to the timeline in one way shape or form. Mahoosive shout out to my wife Jaz for supporting this crazy fool and encouraging me to take the plunge into the world of promoting.

I also want to thank all of you. The Tidal Tribe. Whether fans, staff, crew or wrestler for giving me the time of day, for welcoming me into Tidal, and for giving me another place to call home. (I say another due to my roots in Catch 22). I will do what i can to do best by you all.

Final thought… In the words of Good Ol’ JR in 2007. “Dreams do come true, and mine just did”.

Thank you all once again, and I hope to see you on Sunday 28th June for PRIDAL/Summer Tidal Wave… Let’s F’ing Go!”
